Dalton (Patrick Swayze) drives a 560 Mercedes Benz, holds a degree in philosophy from New York University and is the best in the bouncer business. He's a hired fighter - and he's just been hired to clean up the sex, drugs and rock'n'roll of Double Deuce, a rural Missouri nightclub. The Deuce is a joint where chicken wire surrounds the stage, passed out bodies litter the dance floor and semi-coherent power-drinkers paw the weary waitresses. At closing, the blood is mopped up, the bar is wiped down, and another day is over. But in order to do his job, Dalton will have to battle the town's brutal patriarch, Brad Wesley (Ben Gazzara), whose lust for power barely overshadows his lewd and lascivious greed. Joining Dalton in this bar room brawl is his best friend and mentor Wade Garrett (Sam Elliot), and Elizabeth "Doc' Clay (Kelly Lynch), a local girl who tends to more than just his wounds!
