Krew Boylan and Zoe Tuckwell-Smith star in this horror thriller about a group of friends on an outback trip to observe rock paintings who find their holiday becoming a nightmare when one of them is turned into a ravenous beast after a swim in the waterhole. Travelling to a remote outback location for a holiday adventure, Anja's (Zoe Tuckwell-Smith) friend Dace (Wil Traval), a student of anthropology, shows their group of friends a striking rock painting near a dark cave. A strange energy seems to permeate the area, but the group ignore it as they settle into their campground. One of the girls, Mel (Krew Boylan) impulsively decides to jump into the waterhole for a midnight swim, but later that night, she becomes ill with a fever. As she deteriorates, her worried friends try to decide whether they should leave to get medical help, but they find to their horror that medicine will not cure Mel, who has become a frenzied, bloodthirsty animal with razor sharp teeth. Mel starts attacking her friends, who either die or become infected as well, and in a race to survive, Anja runs to the cave, where she discovers the source of the contagion.
