Michael C. Hall and Sarah Silverman star in this dramatic comedy about a young author whose novel based on his family's secrets creates havoc as his sibling's idiosyncrasies are exposed to the world, and their anger and frustration grows as quickly as his fame. After the debut of his novel, Peep World, a barely disguised dramatisation of his mixed-up family's foibles, Nathan Meyerwitz (Ben Schwartz) becomes an overnight sensation. The fallout for his family, on the other hand, is catastrophic. His eldest brother Jack (Michael C. Hall) racks his brains for a suitable explanation for his supposed pornography habit, his would-be thespian sister Cheri (Sarah Silverman) suffers the indignity of another actress winning the part of herself in the movie being made of the book, and his other brother Joel (Rainn Wilson) is mortified at his portrayal as the crazy loser of the family and dreams up a bizarre way to change his life. The showdown comes at Henry's 70th birthday dinner, when he toasts Nathan's success, and all hell breaks loose as everyone faces off at the dinner table over the secrets that have come to the surface at long last.
