Paulie is the heart-warming story of a very unusual parrot. Highly intelligent and able to speak, Paulie relays his life story to a janitor working at the Research Institute where Paulie is being studied. Paulies story begins when he is given as a gift to a stuttering child and he helps her to overcome her speech impediment. But the girl's father refuses to believe that Paulie can speak and sells the parrot to a pawnshop. An exciting series of adventures begin, as Paulie meets many strange characters before finally ending up housed and neglected at the Research Institute. But is this the end for Ivys big hearted feathered friend?
