Prolific television director Ken Kwapis (Freaks and Geeks and The Office) helms a romantic comedy about a group of people trying to make sense of everyday romantic situations and miscommunications with the opposite sex. Gigi (Ginnifer Goodwin) is a young copywriter who keeps waiting for guys to call - until she meets Alex (Justin Long) who gives her some timely advice. Meanwhile her work colleagues are experiencing their own frustrations - Beth (Jennifer Aniston) has been with Neil (Ben Affleck) for seven years but he refuses to propose; Janine (Jennifer Connolly) has been married to Ben (Bradley Cooper) for _ years but he refuses to talk about having kids, and unknown to her, he is actually having a fling with Anna (Scarlet Johansson), who he thinks may be the love of his life. Meanwhile Anna is technically seeing Conor (Kevin Connolly), but refuses to sleep with him - while her best friend Mary (Drew Barrymore) can’t even get beyond the realms of digital flirtation into real life romance.
