Patrick Swayze stars as Jack Charles, a small-time swindler and wayward father who discovers himself - and his unknown family - in this adventurous, on-the-road comedy. On the brink of his biggest heist yet, Jack's get-away is interrupted by his never-before-seen children Kelly and Eddie - who are also running from the law! Oddly enough, wild and single Jack is drawn to the role of "father" while Kelly and Eddie eagerly take a front seat ride in their father's hair-raising car chase across country. Hunted by the police for kidnapping and spotlighted by a sympathetic female reporter, Jack's high-speed travels turn into a journey of discovery as he learns how to be a father - and ultimately a hero.
