Dermot Mulroney and Hope Davis star in this dramatic comedy about a wife and mother whose amnesia from a head injury may be a blessing in disguise for both her erratic family and herself as her bitter persona is replaced by the happy woman she once was.Bunnie Burnett (Hope Davis), a conflicted and angry woman in a marriage heading downhill, has resorted to quickie liaisons with her neighbour Simon Krebbs (Chi McBride) to assuage her frustration over her relationship with her husband Jack (Dermot Mulroney), but when a passionate moment in her bathroom goes awry, Bunnie is knocked unconscious and wakes in hospital with much of her long-term memory missing. Her worried family, including her angst-ridden teenage twins Eric (Max Thierot) and Kelly (Britt Robertson), fully expect Bunnie's negative attitude to return with her memory, but all Bunnie can recall is the happy beginning to her married life. Just as the family dynamic starts to repair itself with Bunnie's new attitude to life, other outside factors, including a dysfunctional teacher (Selma Blair), a change of job and a run in with bullies come into play to thwart the family's happiness even further.
