The voices of James Denton and Christina Hendricks star in this dramatic animated adventure, where Superman's assistance to a team of scientists on a mission to the Sun puts him in mortal danger, forcing him to pursue two vital goals before it is too late. While on a rescue mission to save Dr Leo Quintum (Alexis Denisof) and his team after their research trip to the Sun was thwarted by the actions of Lex Luthor (Anthony LaPaglia), Superman (James Denton) receives a lethal dose of solar radiation. Faced with his impending demise, he finally confides in Lois Lane (Christina Hendricks) about his dual identity and also bestows on her the gift of super powers for 24 hours. Superman begins to feel his powers changing and prepares for the end, but as Clark Kent, visits Luthor in jail to do an interview. Although he seems to be secure, Luthor is secretly plotting and planning an escape that will allow him to pursue his dream of taking over the world, and with little time left, Superman must again step into the breach to put a stop to Luthor's dangerous goal.
